Bathroom Vanities

Choosing the right bathroom vanity

A vanity does more for a bathroom than almost any other single piece. Measure the space and think about storage, then decide between a single or double vanity, and whether you want drawers, doors or both. Custom and semi-custom cabinetry makes it possible to fit an awkward wall and match the rest of your home.

Tops, mirrors and hardware

Quartz is a durable, low-maintenance vanity top, while marble brings classic veining and needs more care. A simple mirror with a thin metal frame looks sharp over a stone top. Keep hardware and towel bars in the same finish, and the room will feel planned from the floor to the ceiling.

Making a small bathroom work harder

A well-planned vanity can make a small bathroom feel larger. Deep drawers beat open space under a sink, and a floating or furniture-style vanity can keep the floor feeling open. If your new vanity moves the sink or changes the lighting, a licensed plumber or electrician will need to handle that part of the job.
